Ikano Fund Management (IFM) is an independent fund management company based in Luxembourg. Ikano Funds was launched in 1999. We are a member of the Ikano Group, which is owned by the Kamprad family. Ingvar Kamprad founded IKEA in Älmhult, Sweden in the 1940's.
We manage money for private investors and institutions who believe in our investment concept. We believe that to optimize investment results, it is required to activate the entire investment management process instead of just focusing on beating a benchmark. The Ikano All Seasons Fund is the core of our investment belief and will invest in traditional asset classes of equity, bond and cash, but will also exploit opportunities with real estate- and commodity security exposure.
At the heart of our business practice lies our standard. We do business on fair terms: we want to deliver competitive returns at an acceptable risk, charging a fair price and working with selected distributors to meet investor’s expectations.”
Our concept
“Investing in the right asset classes”
Ikano Fund Management has developed a concept which allows investors to delegate all or part of their asset management to our experts.
Research has proven that the larger performance attribution comes from being invested in the right asset classes and the smaller part comes from picking the right securities in those asset classes.
In principal, many investors make their own decisions on the selection of the asset classes and delegate the security picking to professional investors. In practice, this often means that investment opportunities are missed or ill-timed.
Ikano has developed in the last 3 years a concept where the investor delegates the entire investment process; understanding that his investment will be with an investment horizon of minimum 5 years and medium risk willingness.

The Ikano Fund Management approach is to offer a complete solution where we make both the asset class selection and choose the investment solution.
Idea generation is simply hard work. Our analysts are there to do exactly that. In this complex, fast changing environment our investment analysts use an extremely large number of professional sources (like brokers, investment banks, trade fairs, meetings with specialized managers, Bloomberg, etc) to screen for future trends and market dislocations. When an investment opportunity has been identified, we determine which investment solution will offer the best return/cost potential. We will even resort to low cost index trackers if we think that active management will not add any value. Contrary, we will use specialist managers to provide us access to specific niches.
