Ikano Group

Ikano Fund Management is part of the Ikano Group, a family owned group of companies with Scandinavian origin, active within Finance, Real Estate, Asset Management, Retailing and Insurance. Ikano was established in 1988 and is privately owned by the Kamprad family. Ingvar Kamprad founded IKEA in Älmhult, Sweden in the 1940's.

Ikano was originally part of IKEA. During the 1970's the activities grew from administration of Real Estate and Financial Services to also include insurance programmes for IKEA.

The initial objective was to gain expertise from internal activities and then to market these externally in such a way that the knowledge gained was put to good use.

Ikano became an independent group in 1988. Since then, activities have been expanded throughout Europe and into new, but related fields of business.
Today the Group has more than 4.000 employees and is active in Consumer Credit, Real Estate, Retailing, Asset Management and Insurance.
